She has experience with explosive, drug, cash, live Body detection, cadaver, tobacco, Ivory …with a worldwide experience including UK, France, Ireland,South Africa, Gabon and Tanzania.

  • Experience and operational search history. From explosive searches to Ivory searches . 
  • What makes a good detection dog and why ?
  • Picking the right dog for the right scent – rescue dog to search dog !   
  • Why use dogs for conservation ? 
  • Principles of scent training and canine olfaction 
  • Conservation – because it makes Scents ! 
  • Building confidence in a working dog 
  • Scent work basics – how to start! 
  • Practical training – step by step approach for individual dogs needs 
  • Scent pictures – how scent works
  • How to handle your dog- reading your dogs behaviour and reading YOUR own behaviour. 
  • Understanding stress in a working dog – what to consider!

Places are limited for the seminar to 8 teams and 7 spectators 

Accomodation :  To find hotels, campsites, bed and breakfasts and holiday villages at St Jean de Monts or at Notre Dame de Monts

Fees :

  •   For canine Handlers: 400 € – For auditors: 150 €
